    The Retirement Villages Association of New Zealand (Incorporated), or RVA, is a voluntary industry association representing the interests of retirement village developers, owners and managers throughout New Zealand. The RVA has a key role in working with officials and stakeholders to obtain outcomes beneficial to its members.

    The RVA has an important role in educating the public about retirement villages, business models, consumer protection legislation and what to expect when looking for a village. This includes regular meetings with government officials at both central and local level, relevant journalists in broadcast and print media, stakeholder groups such as Age Concern and Grey Power, and speaking at public meetings and conferences around Australasia.
