He has over 45 years of international experience in LNG technology, FSRU, FLNG projects and has been working with leading Ship Classification organizations while based in Singapore, Qatar and USA. Over the past 20 years, he has extensively been involved in promoting and conducting training in LNG as Fuel technology, LNG carriers and other marine LNG projects such as FSRUs and FLNGs. He has presented many papers and moderated at major LNG conferences such as GasTech. Tony graduated with a B.Sc. 1st class honors degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering from Glasgow University, UK. He was previously the LNG & Technology Director with DNV GL and Technical Consultant at ABS
He has been trained in Executive Business program at the IMD business school in Switzerland and qualified as a trainer and conducted training in Relationship Based Selling (RBS) techniques. Currently, Tony chairs the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SNAME) Technical & Research committee on LNG as Fuel. Through the Chemical Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC), an advisory group which provided recommendations to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) on small scale LNG policies, Tony led a workgroup which resulted in the publication of the ASTM F3285-18,
Standard guide for installation and application of Type C portable tanks for marine service. He has also written articles on LNG containments systems in 2010, LNG opportunities for the Caribbean in 2020 and Considerations in the design, construction and operation of LNG Bunker vessels released in July 2022 for the SNAME marine technology (mt) magazine.
