He specializes in inland and urban dredging with extensive experience collaborating with government agencies, research institutes, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Passionate about sharing knowledge and developing innovative, long-term Sustainable Operation & Maintenance (SOM) solutions. Proven ability to deliver tailored strategies that mitigate flooding risks and enhance underperforming water systems in response to the growing challenges of climate change.
His expertise include:
♦♦ Strategic consulting for Sustainable Operation and Maintenance (SOM) of rural and urban water systems, rivers, and navigation channels.
♦♦ Technical assessments to identify gaps and recommend practical, long-term solutions.
♦♦ Capacity building through training programs for public / private sector management and operational staff.
♦♦ Solid waste logistics and management, including the design and exploitation of disposal and handling / recycling facilities of dredged materials.
♦♦ Development and implementation of GIS-based real-time water management applications to support planning and decision-making (e.g., systems used by Dutch regional Water Boards).
♦♦ Advisory services for procurement processes, including transparent innovative quality-based tendering and performance-based contracts for long-term (5–10 year) sustainable “Value for Money” development.
He has extensive teaching & Training Experience in Dredging and Land Reclamation including being engaged annually by UNESCO-IHE as a lecturer for the international postgraduate training program on inland dredging, sediment management, recycling, and the sustainable reuse of dredged materials. Delivered technical modules to a global student audience, supporting capacity building in water-related engineering fields as well as Commissioned by the Dutch Dredging Association to provide in-company training programs focused on long-term sustainable maintenance. He has trained staff from Dutch municipalities, water boards, consultancy firms, and contractors in subjects such as inland and urban dredging, logistics, project supervision, sediment handling, disposal site design, and innovative contract models for dredging projects.
