  He holds a B.Sc. degree in Electromechanical Systems Engineering and a M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, UAE. Khalid holds professional certificates in Project management (PMP), cyber security (CISSP), and IT Networks.

  His research interests are SCADA and ICT, smart grid, AI for industry and OT systems’ security. He published several papers in process automation, communication, smart grid, and industrial cyber security in many international conferences.
