Over 45 years of professional experience with the 35 years firmly anchored to Oil, Gas & LNG landscape with emphasis in offshore & Maine systems encompassing production, processing, transportation and storage systems for facilities/Assets, viz FSRU, Fixed Platform, Subsea Pipeline, Subsea production, FPSO/FSO, FLNG, LNG Bunkering and LNG shore Terminals – both export and import). He also possesses tememndous experience and expertise in the alternative Energy (Hydrogen & Carbon management) landscape. Beyond the technical, design, engineering, operations & asset management and maintenance aspects of FSRU, he is also very well versed in the contractual, commercial, risk management and project structure & delivery aspects of FSRU projects.
His pioneering work/contribution was done in FLNG Landscape between 20210-15 supporting Shell FLNG, Prelude, Australia and Delfin FLNG, USA) and Petronas FLNG-1 while was working for Bechtel and IHI-E&C. Over the last few years, he has been actively working on the Low carbon LNG, Biofuel/BioLNG, NH3 Bunkering. SAF and Data Center cooling systems and most recently for the last 1 year, representing the Larsen & Toubro offshore division as a Advisor and Strategic Consultant, he has been providing advice and consultancy service for FSRU/FLNG/FPSO projects in the form of EPC service and Offshore Functions
His professional experience and accomplishment sprawled over a wide range of expertise such as FEED, Detailed Engineering, Business Development, Asset life cycle assessment, Carbon Foot print estimation etc, having worked on projects in different multinational companies namely Shell – Hauge & Brunei; McDermott -Dubai/UK; Bechtel Corporation-Houston, USA; IHI-E&C, Houston, USA; OPE(Malaysia) - a Foster wheeler Upstream company (Now Wood Group) -USA/KL; Sembcorp Marine/SOME ( Seatrium), Singapore; BW Offshore – Singapore; MAXUS-Indonesia, L'AIR LIQUIDE-Paris/India etc.
His project director & senior management industry experience spans across projects and geographies including various FSRU projects globally, ABADI – FLNG project for Eni, Indonesia, Erha FPSO for Exxon Mobile, Nigeria/SAIPEM, Paris,Wheatst Bohai FPSO for ConocoPhillips, China & Fluor Daniel, USA, Golar FLNG project, Wheatstone LNG Project in Australia, Bohai FPSO for ConocoPhillips, China & Fluor Daniel, USA Mad Dog-2 Semi-Submersible production unit in the North Sea, Round FPSO for Deepwater development, Cove Point Export LNG Terminal for Dominion Energy, BG’s Import LNG Terminal in Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA, Various LNG projects in North America, like Texas LNG, Exelon/Annova LNG etc, FPSO Project for ENI, FLNG Projects for Black and Veatch, Petronas FLNG Project, Apache-Ningaloo Vision FPSO Project, Azurite-FDPSO ship conversion project with Keppel Shipyard, Technical Authority for several FPSO, LNG, Onshore and Offshore projects with SHELL, McDermott, Air Liquide, and BW Offshore.
He has provided consultancy and training expertise to many organizations globally including the:
- LNG Regas/Import Tank &Terminal Technology - Insight and Project Development which regularly attracted senior level Participation from Reliance Industries, Petronet LNG, Tata Consulting Engineers and Bharat Petroleum
- Training & Technical Programs on FSRU Project Design & Management, FPSO/FLNG/FSRU Engineering and Operations, LNG Bunkering, FSRU/LNG Safety, FSRU Commercial & Project Structures, FSRU Contracts & Risk Management across Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia including Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand and Bureau Veritas
He has published and presented several Industry- focused high-quality technical papers in International Conferences including Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), Ex-President of ACHE-Local Section Committee, Active Member of OTC Conference Committee and Gastech Asia Conference Committee. He is also a member of Singapore LNG Bunker Association. Leveraging his immense expertise, he provides consulting services in FPSO, FLNG, FSRU for oil and gas offshore/Marine systems. Often Coordinate with various stakeholders including Regulatory company/Class societies - ABS, DNV, BV etc. Part of these activities are involved in the Energy transition landscape- Adopting Electrification, Bio Energy/Biofuel and SAF amongst many others.
