He has unique experience in the field of event safety planning and management with a 30+ year proven track record of problem solving and critical decision making. Born in London he’s managed safety at mass gatherings worldwide including the concert to mark the fall of the Berlin Wall, AC/DC in Moscow, the Monsters of Rock and the four 120,000 capacity concerts in Brunei with Michael Jackson, Seal, Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Sultan and the wedding of his daughter.
He was involved in the planning and operation of nearly every concert at Wembley Stadium from Live Aid in July 1985 to the final closure before rebuilding in 2002. He was part of the planning and operational team for many major events in central London including the funeral of Diana Princess of Wales, VE Day, the Royal Military Tattoo 2000 at Horse Guards Parade, which included the national celebrations for the 100th birthday of HM Queen Mother and HM Queen Elizabeth II Golden and Diamond Jubilee celebrations attended by over 1.6 million. In the Netherlands he managed safety for the 350,000 capacity Dance Parade through the city centre of Rotterdam as well as “Queens Night” in the Hague and the annual demonstration of racing cars through the city streets.
